PU LUONG 3 DAYS 2 NIGHT (TREKKING TOUR)

DAY 1: HA NOI – PU LUONG – KHO MUONG -BANG VILLAGE 

07:00: Pick up at your hotel in the Old Quarter area. Expect a 4-hour drive without heavy traffic.

10:00: Stop for a 15-minute rest break halfway through the journey. Enjoy picturesque village landscapes along the way.

12:00: Arrive at Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Have lunch at a local restaurant. Check-in at your reserved room (standard check-in time 14:00) and relax at your own pace.

13:30: Afternoon trek, Difficulty level 4/5.

Transfer to the Meeting Point and commence a 10km trek. Explore Kho Muong, an isolated village surrounded by a valley and the largest cave in Pu Luong, using off-road trails via streams and mountains.

Depart from the village and head to scenic Bang village to discover remote houses with beautiful terrace fields. 

17:00: Return to the hotel and relax .

Evening: Culinary exploration and leisure

Optional cooking class for those interested. Enjoy a delicious dinner at 7:00 PM, followed by free time to relax. This concludes your first day in Pu Luong.

DAY 2: DON VILLAGE – LAN VILLAGE – DUCK FARM – HIEU WATERFALL

09:00: Meet and greet our local guide at the meeting point.

Get ready for a 5KM hike, the accent is Don village famed for breathtaking paddy fields. From there, follow peaceful village paths to discover Quan and Uoi – scenic and less-traveled villages tucked away from the crowds

Next, visit Lan village, a special place where the authentic life of the Thai ethnic minority is still alive. This is the only village that has preserved its traditional weaving craft despite the changes of modern life. You will witness how locals still make their fabrics by hand.

Continue the trek with another 3KM into the hidden part of Lan village, where people live humble with nature. Observe their daily activities and immerse yourself in the simplicity of rural life. Then, walk through lush jungle paths to reach Long Village, where you will visit a duck farm raising Co Lung ducks – the Pu Luong’s finest duck. These ducks are bred, hatched, and raised here, known for their exceptional taste and recognized by the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam with a Geographical Indication certificate.

A car (or bicycle if pre-booked) will take you 6KM along village roads to reach Hieu Village. From here, take a short walk to a local restaurant nestled next to Hieu Waterfall. Enjoy a delightful lunch with the soothing sounds of water and nature all around you.

After lunch, take your time to swim and unwind in the largest waterfall of Pu Luong Nature Reserve – an unforgettable moment in crystal-clear waters.

Then, continue your walk to explore the upper part of Hieu Village, a more remote area, before gradually following the stream down to the main road. Enjoy scenic views of surrounding mountains and small scattered homes – glimpses of local life along the way.

Note: Guests who ride bicycles will follow the main roads after lunch and time at the waterfall, visiting some villages along the way before returning to the starting point.

You can expect a car pickup between 15:00 – 16:00 

16:30: Arriving back at the hotel for some well-deserved relaxation. Say goodbye to your guide and end the tour.

19::00: Enjoy a herbal foot soak, happy hours, savor a delicious dinner, and then you’re free to enjoy the evening at your own pace. This marks the end of an enchanting day in Pu Luong

DAY 3: BAN CONG – CHIEU LAU DAM – HA NOI 

07:00: Enjoy breakfast and prepare for the day’s activities. Be ready by 8:30 

08:45: Transfer to Ban Cong and start a 2.5km walk. Cross a suspension bridge to reach one of Pu Luong’s most scenic villages, where the largest stream flows through. Along the river, admire stunning landscapes, rice fields, and village life. Seek for the giant water wheels, a remarkable creation of Vietnam’s mountainous ethnic minorities. Difficulty level 2/5.

Arrive at Chieu Lau dam and embark on a bamboo rafting experience. Paddle the raft upstream with locals and have fun.

10:00: The raft lands on the other side of the river. Embark on another 2km trek through rice fields and villages, completing a loop trail. Meet the transfer at the main road and return to your hotel for check-out by 11:30 and enjoy lunch.

13:00: Prepare for the bus journey back to Hanoi. Expect to arrive at your hotel in Hanoi by 18:30, barring heavy traffic. The tour concludes at your Hanoi hotel.
