My Son Holyland Sunset Tour is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the cultural history of Champa, Vietnam’s ancient culture. Learn about the temples’ history, architecture, and culture; appreciate complex sculptures; and discover how the ancient Chamans lived. Enjoy the refreshing air while going boating along the Thu Bon River. Especially at sunset, you will be able to admire the poetic beauty of the old town of Hoi An.
PICK UP
- 13:00–17:00Pickup & Join the tour
- PickupOur Minivan and tour guide pick you up at your hotel lobby and go to My Son Sanctuay.
- My Son Sanctuarycheck in and the electric car will transfer you for a distance and you will have 2 hours to discover the site by walking through the landscape, exploring Champa cultures and the remaining structures with our local English-speaking guide, and enjoying the Champa’s traditional performances (Apsara Dance)
- Boat triptransfer to the wharf for taking a boat trip to Hoi An with a nice and cool breeze on boarding, beautiful sunset river scenery on the biggest river in Vietnam Central named Thu Bon River.
- Brunch timeeating the “Banh Mi” – a special Vietnamese food.
- 18:00–18:30Finish the tour
- Drop-offArrive at Hoi An and the van will drop you at your hotel. We can drop you off at the old town if requested. Tour ends!

Michael was our tour guide. He was outstanding! Funny, friendly professional and knowledgeable. My Son sanctuary is a lovely place to visit and going with Michael to explain the history and interesting facts made the trip there excellent. I was disappointed by the boat ride though. 40 mins in the minivan to the outskirts of Hoian and about 10 mins in a noisy boat back to the old town felt misleading. We weren’t in time for the sunset anyways so there was nothing amazing about it and it dragged time out. We would have been happy to just do My Son with Michael then leave. So I suppose the day trip may have suited us more. Well done Michael you made our day and the tour 5 star!

Autumn is a great guide, she explained the MySon site and coordinated the trip so everyone is well taken care of. It is a great experience learning about the Champa ancient heritage.
